Canada’s increased deficit thanks to COVID-19

The graph below is from an earlier article titled “Biggest Deficit in History Bound for Canada, Watchdog Says” that was published by Bloomberg on April 30th, 2020. This “biggest in history” is a projected number. Turns out that projection happens to be a good $90B below the $343B reality. Keep that in mind when looking at this graph, because it means the long line down needs to be the equivalent of $90B longer.
